Hidden gems

It has been a while since we last posted. our winter in melbourne has been rather cool and crisp, all day, everyday. Though I (olivia) would prefer staying home reading and drinking tea near the heater i have made the effort to go on some adventures with my sister, stephanie (the other half of this blog).

Anywho, our first adventure was to little country towns including healesville, olinda, sassafras and so on. They were beautiful! We basically just did a little snoop around every town and stopped for some lunch in healesville.

We visited at a lot of unique stores, all showing something different. stephanie purchased an old record which is now hanging in her room and is missing a record player. it was a very relaxed and enjoyable day.

Our second adventure, our favourite, was a visit to a cafe in south melbourne. a hidden gem, chez dre. By far our favourite breakfast.

From top to bottom: breakfast platter (includes smoked ham, cheese, boiled egg, poached fruit, vanilla yoghurt with granola, raspberry jam, butter, croissant and a baguette), granola (with vanilla yoghurt foam, fruit compote and bonsoy), brioche french toast (with poached fruit and vanilla cream) and jasmine pearls (green tea).
We have decided to go back in the next couple of days, it was that great!

We then took a visit to a few vintage shops, though only made one purchase on a rather colourful yet simple hobo cardigan (which we will post a picture of soon). obviously our holidays consisted of food, relaxing, shopping and more food.
